Chiswick dentist Dr Raffaella Gabassi has a passion to use her skills and talents to help the impoverished communities in Sierra Leone. As founder of the Smiling World Charity, Dr Gabassi make regular, largely self-funded visits to Sierra Leone to perform essential and often life-saving dental treatment to the many people in outlying rural villages. The charity now has it’s own ambulance and a small team who educate children and adults alike about the benefits of regular dental hygiene. But Dr Gabassi has has big plans to make a lasting change in the country.
