Local Resident Caroline Catermull and her 2 friends Anny and Kerensa are helping the refugees in Calais this Christmas by launching an appeal for clothing and essential supplies which they will drive over to France on 13th December. They have also been greatly helped by Reverend Martine Oborne who has generously donated some space at St Michael’s Church on Elmwood Road for donations to be made.

 

 

 

Find out how you can help here. What is needed is: Fleece blankets, Men’s thick and warm clothes, Sturdy shoes and boots, Tarpaulins (heavy duty), Double Skinned tents (complete), wind up torches, lamps and radios. The deadline for donations is Thursday 12th December from 9am to 4pm.
