Hogarth Singers Spring Concert
As Spring makes her appearance in Chiswick, and days lengthen, thoughts turn to an appropriate musical accompaniment. Hogarth Singers will be performing their Spring concert on Saturday 16 March at 7.30pm at their usual concert venue, St Michael and All Angels, Bath Road, London W4 1TT. The programme features French composers Faure, Saint-Saens and Vierne, who were all writing in Paris at the end of the nineteenth century. Faure’s Pavane will be familiar to many readers, there are passages of Saint-Saens’s Requiem that may sound that you have heard before but can’t quite place, and you may not have previously heard Vierne’s Messe Solennelle. The choir will be directed by Rupert Gill and accompanied by Andrew Wells.
Tickets are £13, and are available from members of the choir, or call 07555 721662, or visit our website www.hogarthsingers.org. Under 16’s are free.
