Have you ever noticed the homeless man sitting outside Turnham Green Station reading a book? His name is Matti. Probably someone many would pass by without a second thought, Matti is the inspiration for something incredible – the Spread The Word campaign.
Started by Chiswick resident Priyanka Mogul, the Spread The Word Campaign aims to bring books to the homeless with the belief that they can bring empowerment to those who have lost everything. The Spread The Word Campaign’s mission is to open libraries in every homeless shelter in London, It asks that people donate not money but knowledge; a book, perhaps a work of literature that has had an impact on their own lives and may, again, have an impact on another.
