Ceramics at Angie’s Little Food Shop
Our unique collection of beautiful ceramics brings food alive. Created by three of Angie’s favourite South African artists, the pieces are quirky and unique. Perfect for day-to-day use or gorgeous just to look at!
Janet Lightbody
Following a childhood dream to be an artist, thankfully for us Janet opted to side step the corporate world to pursue her passion full time. Janet’s collection now boasts an eclectic and humorous array of pieces including her popular mouse cheese platter, watermelon bowls and little Louis door-stoppers. The relationship we have with Janet is incredibly close, and many items within our range have been developed exclusively for ALFS by the artist.
Gemma Orkin
Gemma Orkin is a hugely talented Cape Town based artist who’s handmade ceramics are characterised by quirky hand painted scenes which celebrate a love of flowers, birds and life. Bursting with bold colours, Gemma’s pieces are gorgeous to look at and truly unique; no two pieces are exactly the same.
Wonki Ware
The vibrant, warm spirit of Africa is clearly visible in the Wonki Ware ceramics, the brainchild of Di Marshall. Di works with a team of people from disadvantaged backgrounds to produce patterned ceramic pieces which are delicate, and capture sensitivity in pattern and design.
