Win A Slot (and some Honey) at Chiswick House Plant Sale
Last month (21st May), Chiswick House launched a fundraising campaign to raise much needed funds to keep the beautiful gardens maintained, clean and safe for everyone to use. Further fun and
exciting fundraising activities are planned over the summer to help reach the target of £120,000 by the end of September. The first event is a plant fundraiser which is being held on Monday 15 to Friday 19th June (excluding Thursday 18th).
Chiswick House and Gardens is a popular venue for events and weddings where decorative plants are grown specifically for these occasions. Although these events have now been cancelled,
resulting in a shortfall of £500,000 of income, the beautiful plants that were to be used had already started to be cultivated behind the scenes at Chiswick House.
These beautiful pelargoniums have been propagated and thrived under the care of the talented garden team but now need new homes. In order to manage the Plant Fundraiser safely the Trust has put in place a system of timed slots.
The process is quite simple – you will be normally asked for a donation of £5 to choose your priority time slot – but you can win one on Chiswickbuzz and the winners will also receive a pot of honey! Plants will have a suggested donation price ranging from £5 to £15 depending on the size and variety.
