Chiswick MP Ruth Cadbury To Run The London Marathon 2019

This Sunday Ruth Cadbury MP will be running in the London Marathon in support of two great charities. The first charity is the CW+ Sun and Stars Appeal, who are raising money for better facilities for the Children Ward at West Middlesex Hospital, and the second is Young Minds, a national mental health charity for young people.

Ruth said ‘‘I started running quite late in life when I turned 50, but since then it’s been a great way to keep fit, and active. Most importantly by running the marathon I’m able support two amazing charities, who both help young people, in very different ways.

I ran in support of the CW+ Sun and Stars Appeal last year, and I’m so proud to be able to help an amazing local charity again this year . The Children’s Ward in West Mid support over 8,000 babies, children and young people every year, and they’re doing great work to help create a welcoming, child-friendly environment in the hospital.

I’m also proud to be raising funds for Young Minds, a national charity who help young people with mental health. I’ve seen first-hand just how much of a crisis there is mental health support for young people, with parents, teachers and young people telling me how much more needs to be done. That’s why I’m running for Young Minds- to ensure that all our young people are supported, and empowered.

I would be extremely grateful if you could support me, but I understand completely if you’re unable to. If not I’d very much appreciate if you could share the link to my donation Page, and raise awareness about these great charities, and their great work.’’
