City Harvest Supports The Vulnerable

The team at City Harvest, based on Acton Vale W3, have worked throughout Covid19. They’re addressing an ever-expanding demand to collect surplus and donated produce and deliver it to charitable organisations across London. These unsung heroes have recently doubled the volumes redistributed to 70 tonnes per week. City Harvest partners with more than 300 charities and volunteers who are preparing meals and taking provisions to the vulnerable, isolated and under privileged.

Since its inception City Harvest London has delivered more then 10 million meals to people facing hunger and offset 15,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases. The Charity represents a vital part of the battle against CV19, as well as focusing on the alleviation of suffering throughout the South East. Nikki Tadema, COO, provides an insight on the day to day workings of City Harvest. Chiswickbuzz also acknowledges the great work done by the team including Tay Moti, Head of Dev and Fiona Carney, Engagement Manager, who made this film possible.
