Sunita’s Spinach Flatbreads
Ingredient’s
1 cup of chappati flour
2 tsp oil
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
Handful of chopped spinach
salt for seasoning
little warm water
Method
Step one:
Add the chappati flour to a bowl. Chop the spinach finely and add to the flour. Add coriander powder to aid digestion and turmeric as a fantastic antioxidant. Add the oil to the mixture.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Step two:
Add warm water little at a time to bind the dough together. If you’ve added too much water add more flour. Make small balls out of the dough. Place alittle flour on the work surface and dip one ball into the dough. Add more flour to the work surface or continue to dip the flatbread in flour as your rolling them out. Then roll into a round shape.
Step three:
Use a non stick pan and place the flatbread on top. Let it cook on a medium heat for 1 minute and then turn. Once the flatbreads are golden brown remove from the heat.
Serve with plain greek yogurt.
