With the festive celebrations over and the New year ahead this month we will be focusing on food that gives us energy, makes us feel good, and is quick and easy to make !

This is far one of my simplest recipes, a detox smoothie in a jar.  Small amounts of goodness packed in a jar, and ready to be blitzed into a healthy smoothie. Have it at breakfast, or lunch. The smoothie will slowly release energy throughout the day, keep you fuller for longer, is a great source of iron, vitamin C, and fibre.


Handful of spinach

1 sliced orange

1 sliced apple

1 pomegranate

5 walnuts

Fresh coconut

2 physalis

Mix with a splash of fresh orange juice or water, and add a little ice to the blender to ensure a nice smooth consistency.
