Abundance London Instigates Thames Path Manifesto

Abundance London, the Chiswick based voluntary organisation with Charitable aims is creating a new Thames Path Manifesto. The organisation which is run by Dr Karen Liebreich, MBE, Sarah Cruz and Karen Wyatt is partnering with Car Free Day to create and promote the manifesto.

The Manifesto is open for comments, suggestions and support so check it out at https://abundancelondon.com/the-thames-path-manifesto/

The Manifesto seeks to celebrate decades of work that have gone into creating the Path. Its aim is to revive the Thames Path’s potential as a world-class walking and cycling link, and biodiversity corridor for London.

The team make four proposals:

  1. Planning rules that prioritise a continuous Path and the completion of gaps
  2. Signage along the river and towards the Path
  3. A biodiversity strategy that runs the length of the Path
  4. An ambitious landscape design

You can comment on the scheme by clicking on the link (above) before the end of May.

Lorna Ko met Karen Liebreich by the Thames to talk about the new initiative.
