Clare Balding To Introduce Last Night Of Chiswick Proms

Local author, broadcaster and national treasure Clare Balding will be introducing the Last Night Of The Chiswick Proms 2019. Clare explained that Chiswick House and Gardens holds a special place in her heart. She regularly walks her dog in the gardens and it was the place where she and her partner Alice Arnold held their marriage celebration.

Clare is one of a great line-up of celebrities appearing at the Chiswick Proms 2019. The comedy night on Friday 7th June features Jason Manford and Shappi Khorsandi. On Saturday 8th June it’s Musicals Night starring Ruthie Henshall, Vivien Carter, Mike Christie, and Tessa Kadler. The Last Night stars Lesley Garrett with a full orchestra.

As well as hosting the Last Night, Clare will be talking on Saturday afternoon about her latest book The Racehorse Who Learned to Dance. She’ll also be signing copies of the book so make sure to buy your copy here! There will also be a performance of Peter and the Wolf at 2pm on Saturday June 8th and it’s free for children to attend (max 2 per adult).

Mike Christie, organiser of the proms is also arranging a series of free arts workshops for children. The workshops will be held at various local locations on 31st May, 2nd, 6th and 7th June.  You can find out more and book HERE.
