Chiswick RNLI Prepares For The Boat Race 2019

Chiswick RNLI are preparing for a busy time at the Boat Race this year. Station Manager Wayne Bellamy talks to Lorna Ko about the lifeboat station, the opportunities and dangers for visitors to the boat race and the 70+ crew who will be patrolling the river and foreshore.

Chiswick RNLI are delighted to have been named as the charity partner of the boat race this year and will have a great team of supporters along the route, collecting money for the station.

The Chiswick Station is the first responder between Battersea and the Richmond half tide lock but is also involved in rescues from Tower to Teddington.
