Strand on the Green School Recognised In Centenary Award 2020

Strand on the Green Infant and Nursery School are runners up in the Chiswick Horticultural and Allotment Society Centenary Plate Awards. The school has made some impressive changes to several areas and have impressed the judges.

The award is made to the schools that have made the greatest progress with promoting horticulture and developing the gardens and natural areas with their pupils.

Buffy Pond chatted to the children to find out more.

Chiswick Horticultural Society offers details of how to start a school garden project. The Society’s School Project Co-Ordinator, John Gill also organises visits to local allotments and runs the annual Centenary Plate celebration for award winning school gardens.
