Overview: In 1898 a group of Irishmen came together to form their own club, the London Irish Rugby Football Club. The founding fathers were an exceptional group of powerful personalities embracing politicians, lawyers and businessmen united by a sense of Irishness and passion for rugby. From the beginning London Irish was to provide a welcoming “home” and hospitable meeting place for all Irish people, regardless of creed or politics.

2019/20 season is proving mixed for the first XV having lost more games having won 5 games lost 13 and drawn 1 so far (early Feb).

It will be really interesting to see how moving to a new ground in Brentford impacts attendance at home matches and consequently results.

Inevitably, the time and commitment being made towards mini and junior rugby at the club and the AASE (Academic Achievement and Sporting Excellence) schemes being run at the club, will hopefully deliver positive results. The end of the 2020 season and the opening of the 20/21 season will be pivotal in the continued success of the London Irish.
