Acai Bowl

Acai has grown in popularity over the past couple of years, mainly for its health benefits and its aesthetic vibrant colour (very photogenic and instagram-worthy)! Acai is basically just berries, and is often found in powder form and I am a huge fan of acai bowls because they’re super healthy, super tasty and can be topped with so many different things to add variety to your bowl!

This recipe uses Acai powder but you can use frozen berries if you prefer.

Makes 1 bowl

2 tablespoons acai powder (or you can use 100g frozen berries) – I used the acai powder from Prozis and I have a code for 10% off their products (code ATHINA10 – affiliated)

1/2 banana

2 tablespoons maple/fruit syrup

Milk alternative (oat, soya, almond, cashew, hazelnut, coconut)

  1. Blend all of the ingredients above in a blender/food processor until fully combined
  2. Scoop out into a coconut bowl (I’ve linked some below) – if you don’t have a cute coconut bowl, then just use a normal bowl, any will do!
  3. Add on your desired toppings. I used the other half of the banana, strawberries, chopped mixed nuts, chia seeds, goji berries and syrup
