I’ve already posted a lower body dumbbell workout, so I thought next I would do an upper body workout, starting with chest and triceps. Often, the chest and triceps are worked out together because they both function to push things away from you, so lots of exercises target both of them at the same time. All you need is a set of dumbbells and an aerobic step (the step isn’t necessary but enables you to add a bit more depth to the exercises). 

I did the whole thing as a circuit – perform every exercise back to back with no rest in between them, then take a two minute rest at the end. Repeat the whole circuit for a total of 3-4 times.

  1. Chest Press x12 
  2. Pullovers x12 
  3. Skull Crushers x12 
  4. Close Grip Press x12 
  5. Plank x30 seconds
